As a two-time Emmy award-nominated Animator, Motion Designer, and Illustrator based in San Francisco, I specialize in animation, motion graphics, illustration, web design, bookbinding, and printmaking.
My love of art began decades ago when I taught myself Photoshop 4.0 in under two months while attending the High School of Art & Design in New York City. A St. John’s University graduate, I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and possess over 15 years of professional experience spanning diverse industries across the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. Today I continue to refine my skills using a wide array of digital and traditional art media.
In my spare time, I build computers and coach baseball. I’m a lover of all things DIY, as well as a comic book and graphic novel enthusiast.
Ever since I can remember, I was drawn to the color orange. It was the first crayon I picked up, and it was the first color I painted my room. Combining the vitality of red and the happiness of yellow, orange has been associated with imagination, endurance, and success since its first recorded use as a color in 1512.
Similarly, circles offer infinite links, and many people believe there is something inherently divine about them. For me, circles are the ultimate representation of creativity and cycles, and what is particularly unique about them is how evenly they distribute weight. I like to think of my art in this way: balanced and well-composed.
The orange, circular theme for PAQ Designs – the foundation of which are my initials – is inspired by my journey into the world of art. From high school to college to internships to career, my artistic ability has evolved. And no matter where each path has taken me, I end up revisiting my roots and blending past wisdom with new insight.
